My path to information systems research was not a straight line. I trained as a civil engineer at Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, spent a semester as a research assistant at EPFL in Lausanne working on life-cycle assessment, and then moved into applied analytics — running user-acquisition experiments for an early-stage platform and building market-entry and strategy analyses for consulting clients — before starting my Ph.D. at Baruch College in 2021. That mix is why my research sits where economics, technology, and human behavior meet.
Outside of research and teaching, you’ll find me practicing Kundalini yoga and meditation, dancing, making art, or planning events.
